LFP Consultants provides wealth management and retirement financial planning advice to private individuals and business owners from its offices in Chorley, Lancashire. When one of their financial planners contacted us, they were tied into a lease contract that still had around 18 months remaining. However, they had heard about the benefits of pay as you go printing and asked us to put plans in place for a smooth switch to Pay As You Go Print when their current supplier contract came to an end in spring 2021.

What we provided

The client’s primary objective was to reduce their printing overheads. Whilst in an ideal world they would cut down on the amount of paperwork produced, many of their customers prefer to receive documents in a tangible hard copy format. Our brief was for machines that would produce a high standard of print quality to reflect the professional standard of the firm’s financial advice.

Due to the pandemic, we conducted all our discussions online. Under normal circumstances, one of our team would have met with the client at their offices to assess the space and understand their print requirements.

Creating a great first impression through well-presented documents was crucial to the client. We recommended two multi-functional full colour devices with the capacity to scan, copy, print and staple documents, meaning less manual handling and more time to focus on their own clients’ needs. Five different paper trays would allow the client to use their letterhead and continuation paper without constantly having to swap out the paper.

With our no contract approach, and even taking into account a slightly higher average cost per page, our proposal worked out to be significantly more cost effective than their previous provider, saving in the region of £1,000 per month.
